The American Psychological Association (APA) recently held its Psychologically Healthy Workplace Awards (PHWA) ceremony and recognized five organizations for their comprehensive efforts to promote employee health and well-being while enhancing organizational performance. In addition to the PHWA winners, 10 organizations received Best Practices Honors for a program or policy that meets the unique needs of the organization and its workforce. ATI Holdings, Bolingbrook, Ill, was one recipient of this honor.

ATI Physical Therapy is a comprehensive orthopedic rehabilitation provider specializing in research-based physical therapy, work conditioning/hardening, functional capacity evaluations, sports medicine and performance, and women's health.

Employers who understand the link between employee well-being and organizational performance are best positioned for success in the economic recovery, according to the APA.

“Creating a psychologically healthy workplace takes a firm commitment in the best of times,” said David W. Ballard, PsyD, MBA, APA’s assistant executive director for marketing and business development.
